In second season episode Pavor Nocturnus, an alternate timeline soldier named Jason tosses one of these beauties at an advancing horde of mindless cannibalistic monsters, the result of an unexplained plague that has decimated humanity, both normal and abnormal alike. Although it explodes with a mighty blast, the grenade doesn't actually seem to do that much damage, and the squad has to result to more aggressive measures. In the ensuing melee, Jason gets bit, therefore infected, therefore soon to be executed.
