Mary Poppins, Jane Banks' Nursery Alphabet Blocks
made from scratch movie prop
These blocks are scratch made replicas of the blocks that were seen in the Nursery Scene of the 1964 movie, "Mary Poppins." In the scene, Julie Andrews, as Mary Poppins, sings the song, "A Spoonful of Sugar," written by Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman, the Disney songwriting team. The blocks were scattered on the floor, but magically assembled in Janes' hands, spelling out, "Mary Poppins," before Jane tossed them into her toy chest. My replica block "R" with an "S" on top has been signed by the composer, Richard Sherman.
