Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of The Black Pearl, Jack Sparrow Compass

Jack's unique 'heart's desire' compass, as seen in the first movie, where it guides him to the Isla de Muerta in pursuit of Barbossa and the Black Pearl.    

The prop was changed from this design for the second and third films; in particular, the dial was reduced in size, and the compass card was simplified (and thus made less accurate to mid-18th century aesthetics), perhaps for the purpose of narrative clarity.

Painted masonite, plastic, and brass, moderately weathered, with freely spinning card, and leather cord.
