This is the book written by Jack McCall (Eddie Murphy) as the result of his spiritual experience with the mystical tree that he believes nearly takes his life, but instead gives him new found life. On the back of the book, a short paragraph is written which reads "My name is Jack McCall. If you can hear me, what you are listening to is not the sound of my voice...its the sound of my inner voice. The one inside my head...this paragraph is narrated by Jack at the beginning of the movie as well as at the end of the film, and this prop is the key prop from the film.
