The jacket that started it all! While this CP Company M229 Jacket wasn't worn by Jack Bauer (played by Kiefer Sutherland) until Season Five of the award-winning TV Drama Series, it nonetheless spurned a craze amongst fans that endlessly pursued first the identification of the manufacturer of the piece, then the acquisition of every remaining retail-available jacket to boost those collector's into the elite, to a demand that paved the way for replica jackets as well. This iconic jacket started what would become a craze amongst collectors to be the first (and last) to snatch up the following season's jackets as well. The story ends (or does it?) with what may be the only two jackets used during production being auctioned off, fetching what could be the highest prices a screen-worn jacket from the series would sell for (unless another M229 is yet to come?).
