These wrist cuffs were custom made for the production for use in The Mummy (1999) and then the bottom edge of the cuffs were trimmed by wardrobe department for use in the sequel to the movie The Mummy Returns, The (2001) , specifically for shooting the scene in which Rick and Imhotep both nearly fall into a chasm, that apparently leads to the underworld, and grab onto the ledge.
