Star Trek: Insurrection, Illuminated Pre Production Concept PADD by HMS

Illuminating Federation Starfleet PADD from Star Trek: Insurrection. (Paramount, 1998) Cast resin painted grey with graphic decal detailing and translucent backlit acrylic view screen, which illuminates by a pushbutton on the bottom. This prop is the first design of a new style illuminated PADD, but ultimately did not make the final cut. Another design was chosen for Star Trek: Insurrection. However, this and a couple others like it still proved to be useful, as they were used as background PADDs. Built by HMS Creative Productions and measures 4" x 5 ¾".
