Stay Alive, Hutch MacNeil's Hero Satchel

This screen used hero satchel was worn in the movie "Stay Alive" in 2006. Hutch MacNeil was played by Jon Foster in the movie. This item is a brown, leather satchel that is the brand “J. Peterman Co.” This satchel has a front flap, inner zip pockets, and an adjustable strap. This screen used satchel is a key “hero” prop because it was used extensively during filming and it was one of the most important props in the movie due to the storyline.
This satchel is seen toward the beginning and is continually worn by the main character throughout the movie into the big finale. At the beginning of the movie Loomis Crowley (Milo Ventimiglia) plays a new survival video game, called "Stay Alive" and is found at his own house hung to death. Loomis's friend Hutch MacNeil attends his funeral and is given the satchel by Loomis's sister. The satchel contains numerous video games, including the game "Stay Alive." Hutch, Abigail, Miller Banks, Swink Sylvania (Frankie Muniz), October Bantum (Sophia Bush), and Phineus Bantum all play the video game "Stay Alive" together. The video game is based on a true story of a 17th-century noble woman known as "The Blood Countess," she kills hundreds of people in order to preserve her youth. As characters die in the video game a certain way, they die the same way in real life too. Toward the end of the movie Hutch, Swink, and Abigail travel to the location of the video game company that created "Stay Alive" and they soon learn that it is the same location as in the actual video game. Hutch and Abigail look for the body of the Countess, while Swink continues playing the video game. A major way to survive is for Hutch to keep pulling red roses out of his satchel because they have a negative effect on the Countess and they protect you from her. Hutch puts the Countess's spirit back into her body, uses Swink's reflective computer that he pulls out of his satchel, and lastly sets the Countess on fire. Then Swink and Abigail save Hutch from the fire! This satchel was originally purchased through Ebay and the COA is through Premiere Props. “You Die In The Game - You Die For Real!"
