Jingle All The Way, Howard Langston's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) GMC Suburban Front/Rear License Plates
original movie prop
These front and rear Minnesota license plates were used on Howard Langston's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) GMC Suburban in the 1996 holiday crowd pleaser Jingle All the Way. The aluminum plates have vehicle state registration stickers, which expired in December 1996 (much of the film was shot on-location in April of that year). The plates first appear when Howard is stopped for speeding to his son's (Jake Llyod) karate ceremony and must recite the alphabet backwards as part of a police officer's (Robert Conrad) field sobriety test. The movie later follows Howard's frantic search for a sold-out Turbo Man action figure, as he drives from toy store to toy store around the Twin Cities. After a stop at an out-of-the-way warehouse of seedy Santa swindlers causes him to finally run out of gas, Howard returns from yet another wild goose chase at a local radio station to find his SUV all but entirely stripped.
