Kong: Skull Island, Houston Brooks' Necktie

A necktie worn by Corey Hawkins' character Houston Brooks in the 2017 monster film Kong: Skull Island, the second film in Legendary's Monsterverse. This piece was used in the nightclub scene where Brooks and Bill Randa (John Goodman) recruit Captain James Conrad (Tom Hiddleston) for their expedition. The necktie was supplied for the film by Western Costume Company, and came with the original property tag. The letters "WCC" are painted in small silver on the inside of the tie along with the year "1970", dating the prop appropriate for the time period of the film (1973). There is also a small label on the inside of the tie that reads "Western Costume Company". 

The character of Houston Brooks also appears in 2019's Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the third film in Legendary's Monsterverse, this time portrayed by Joe Morton.
