Star Trek: The Next Generation, Holster - Sciences Tricorder

At the same Profiles In History auction that allowed me to acquire my latest Star Trek: The Next Generation (season one) stunt Sciences Tricorder I was able to acquire, in the same lot, a screen-used holster for the Sciences Tricorders. In season one the holsters were made of leather and covered. These would have been used for stunt or hero versions of the prop. This is the very first generation of holsters for any tricorders in Star Trek. It is also the first time that the hardened steel belt clips, salvaged from Vietnam-era war surplus belts, were used (this led to years of frustration for the prop makers who sometimes had to make smaller versions of the clips - think phaser holsters - by cutting down the regular-sized ones with a torch).

The Profiles in History Tag (that passes for a COA with PIH) does not mention the holster though the tricorder and holster sold together as a lot.
