Sabrina, Historic 18th C. Italian Rococo Chest of Drawers - 5 Movies
original set dressing / pieces
An antique 18th century Italian Rococo chest of drawers. This is another piece we found in the wild unidentified coming from the estate of academy award winning art director James W. Payne best known for \"The Sting\" and had \"2nd Floor\" written on the back so we guessed it might be a movie piece so started going through his filmography and first found it in a Jerry Lewis movie called \'The Ladies Man\' (1961) which is famous for it\'s set decoration having the house cut in half for all different kinds of camera angels so would make sense to add the floor number to each piece. Jerry Lewis actually walks over to the dresser and dusts it. Also shows up in another Jerry Lewis movie called \'It\'s Only Money\' (1961), \'Come Blow Your Horn\' (1963) starring Frank Sinatra, \'Fancy Pants\' (1950) starring Bob Hope and Lucille Ball, but the best use would be in \'Sabrina\' (1954) starring Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart. Was also an easy screen match and a great looking piece of furniture for the house.
