John Garrity (Gerard Butler) Hero wrist watch from Greenland. Worn by Butler throughout the film. Butler is/was a brand ambassador for Festina watches, so my guess is that’s why the watch is always on his wrist and prominent. A credible source said that the wrist bracelet of this particular watch broke on set at some point. When I got the watch I repaired the bracelet (missing 6 o’clock spring bar and spring bar cover, bent 12 o’clock spring bar, and nearly broken clasp) by buying the necessary parts online so that I could wear it - the watch itself is fine and keeps great time. Of course, for collecting’s sake I kept the damaged parts. One day if I retire it to display I’ll reinstall the original parts.
