Night of the Living Dead, Hero Winchester rifle

From the 1968 horror classic, that created the modern zombie genre, George A. Romero's,  Night of the Living Dead. This is THE rifle used by the late Duane Jones as Ben, and Harry Cooper, played by the late Karl Hardman.  Owned by the late George Kosana, who played sheriff McClelland. He was also a production manager. During the production, he brought this rifle along with 2 other guns. A shotgun, and his personal rifle, carried by him in the film. After filming, he took the guns  back home, where they stayed in his possession until 2007. He consigned this rifle, along with other items,  including the shotgun used in the film to Profiles in History. The estimates still make me laugh. The rifle was accompanied with a letter from George Kosana himself. This gun is just as it was when filming wrapped. Make no mistake, this is a real firearm, no prop.  Definitely a, if not the,  holy grail from this film. Happy 50th anniversary.
