This is the a Hero seeing stone used during filming of The Spiderwick Chronicles and can be seen in numerous scenes throughout the movie. Since all the creatures were invisible, the seeing stones allowed the characters to see all the creatures listed in Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide to Fairies with ease.
