Flash Gordon, Hero Arborian Crossbow

A hero Arborian crossbow from Flash Gordon (1980). This version is constructed of fibreglass and metal with a rubber string most of which has sadly decayed over the years. Nevertheless the trigger does still function.
To my knowledge it is the only extant hero Arborian crossbow and may have been the only one ever made. However, this is disputable as a hero crossbow appears twice in the film, first when Flash Gordon (Sam J. Jones) is confronted on his arrival at Arboria and again when he is pursued through the swamp by Barin (Timothy Dalton).
