When John Druitt, former husband to Helen Magnus and one-time Jack The Ripper, suddenly materializes in a dark backalley of Old City in premiere episode Sanctuary For All, he pulls this locket from his coat and glances at the image of the woman he's in town to locate. Seen again later in first season episode The Five, where John hands this locket to Helen's daughter Ashley, who is understandably reluctant to accept the notion that this man is her father.
