The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Heart of Gold Remote Control device

This is the little ball-shaped remote control device that is part of the Heart of Gold ship. This can be seen when Trillian uses it to turn off the news report about Zaphod, and later when Zaphod himself uses it to play back the information about Magrathea. It's still operational, pressing any of the 3 buttons on it will turn on the red light in the center.
