Sleepy Hollow, Headless Horseman Costume

A costume worn by the Hessian or Headless Horseman in the Tim Burton classic Sleepy Hollow. Designed by Colleen Atwood, this costume was worn by actor Ray Park, It consists of a severely distressed tunic that has an ornate silver dragon pattern on the chest, a pair of trousers which are actually black jogging bottoms which have been distressed with paint and a tear in one leg, a pair of black leather gloves with axe designs on them (labelled as “Ray Park”) and a black light weight cape with a red lining that is also heavily distressed with paint and rips, also lined with a thick heat shoulder pad to protect Ray Park in the fire scene. There is also a black and silver leather belt with an ornate buckle which is a prototype although it is labelled with Ray Park’s name. A scabbard which was used to hold the horseman’s sword, and a pair of Spurs. The boots are the only thing that is not original, I have these on for display purpose only and will be looking to find a pair of boots.
