Greenland, Handwritten Note and Pad, plus Pen and Keys

original set dressing / pieces

*The handwritten note is screen-matched (see photo).  These items were used by John Garrity (Gerard Butler) when he broke into someone’s house after the fight in the truck the night before.  He borrowed their car and left a handwritten note tacked to the door saying he would return the car if possible.  In the movie commentary, director Ric Roman Waugh stated that Butler asked him if there would be a prop note - the director told him (Gerard Butler) to write the note himself.  Butler protested, saying his handwriting was terrible (it’s not!), but Waugh said he wanted Butler to compose -and- write the note himself as the character for full effect.  Later online comparisons with known Butler handwriting confirms that GB wrote the note.  The pen was the one used to write the note, and these car keys were the ones Butler took out of the drawer.  The key fob shown here is supposedly not the one in the movie (you cant really tell), but came with the props, so I left it on.  These props came in a clear production handbag with JOHN (for John Garrity) taped to the outside.
