“Hero” T-Shirt worn by Hancock (Will Smith) in the comedy-action movie “Hancock (2008)”
Hancock is a superhero whose ill considered behavior regularly causes damage in the millions. He changes when one person he saves helps him improve his public image.
The shirt is distressed by the production department to simulate the weathering and distressing after Hancock fight against Mary (Charlize Theron). This shirt is also cut in half likely for its use on scene where Hancock is attended on arrival at the hospital. Only two “hero” distressed tee shirts in this style were used in the production of “Hancock” for the character “Hancock” as played by Will Smith. Due to the holes and marks this shirt can be seen on screen at the liquor scene in which Hancock saves the salesman of a robbery but is hurt by a gunshot.
Particularly this shirt can be match on screen when Hancock picks up drink from the freezer as well as when preparing to pay it, since every detail of the weathering and distressing (on left sleeve and back at the first point and at the chest in the second ) match with that Hancock wore at those points of the film, and any distressing details disappear in other later shots (as for example when he is hurt).
