Grant Gabriel was the assistant editor at the Daily Planet. Supposedly, he was the former editor of the Star City Post. Grant Gabriel was actually a clone of Lex Luthor's brother Julian Luthor, who died in infancy when Lex was twelve. He was implanted with false memories of a back story and childhood which detail how he was given up for adoption, so that he would believe himself to be Lex's brother.
