Aluminum backplate with correct caps signifying the rank of Grand Moff. The title of Grand Moff, given to Regional Governors overseeing locations of special interest to the Emperor including Coruscant and the Death Star, conveyed authority above all Imperial military ranks including General and Admiral. Wilhuff Tarkin was one of the first Imperial Grand Moffs.
