Batman, Gotham City Metropolitan Police Badge

This police badge was worn by a Gotham City Police Department Officer in the 1989 motion picture "Batman", starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson. The badge was custom made for the film out of a cast metal then brushed with bronze and gold. The badge has lettering which reads, “Metropolitan Police; To serve and Protect; 1069”.This badge can be seen worn by G.C.P.D. characters in several sequences from the film, most noticeably by two officers outside the courthouse when Harvey Dent exits with Gotham officials. Through the film, many badges are seen but in this courthouse exterior we can clearly see these badges are gold.
