Godzilla, Godzilla Egg
original movie prop
Following the French atomic bomb tests in the South Pacific, an unknown creature is spotted passing eastward through the Panama Canal. Scientist Niko Tatopolous (Matthew Broderick) is called in to investigate the matter, and he quickly arrives at the conclusion that a giant, irradiated lizard known as Godzilla has been created by the nuclear explosions. This is a prop Godzilla egg created for the 1998 remake of the classic monster film Godzilla. This prop egg encased in an acrylic case was one of fifty that were mounted and displayed in acrylic cases and given to the top 50 employee’s at KB Toys corporate headquarters. This egg was used during the scenes in the film when you see multiple eggs that have been laid by Godzilla and had offspring hatch while it smashed its way through the shell resulting in a hole being seen on one side of the egg.
