The Givin alien was based on a Ralph McQuarrie sketch, sculpted and worn by Jon Berg on set. There are unique cuts in the mouth that screen match to behind the scenes photos identifying this as the one used in Star Wars during the cantina reshoots with Rick Baker's crew.
