A Stab fan’s Ghost-face mask used in the 2011 Wes Craven sequel Scream 4. In this fourth instalment of the classic slasher series, members of the old films reunite to stop the murders of Ghostface, a masked knife-wielding killer.
This unique take on the classic mask was used during filming as a fancy dress costume by the avid ‘Stab’ fans (the cult movie within the movie) who gather in the barn for a secret ‘Stab-a-thon’ to watch all seven movies in one go. Sadly, the fancy-dress costumes were all but removed from the final cut of the movie. The ‘Zombie Ghost-face’ is made from a flexible rubber and still embodies the well-known face originally portrayed in Edvard Munch’s “The Scream”. The mask comes complete with the renowned black cotton hood. The face has been intentionally distressed and finished to look aged and cracked like a zombified version of the maniacal killer that terrified an entire generation.
Created by 'Fun World', the same company responsible for the original masks, it comes presented on a custom-built stand that supports the mask to look as though it is floating above the black circular base that incorporates the movie logo. The logo contains ultra bright LEDs that illumninate when a button is pressed in at the back of the base of the display. Together they measure 58cm (23”) and remain in excellent condition.
