Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Galaxy Science Fiction Magazine

This is a prop magazine that was used in the Deep Space Nine episode "Far Beyond the Stars" which is the story of "Benny", a black writer in the 1950's trying to sell his sci fi story to a science fiction magazine. The DS9 crew took on the roles in this episode, with Avery Brooks "Sisko" playing Benny, Armin Shimmerman "Quark" playing another writer, etc. All of the alien actors (Quark, Gul Dukat, Nog) appeared in the episode without their makeup which made this a pretty cool episode. The cover was designed and printed by Mike Okuda. Mike printed just the cover and then glued it onto the cover of an existing magazine. This is one of three magazines I have that were used in the episode.
