Warcraft, Frostwolf Orc Axe, Garona’s Dagger, and Tusk Necklace
original movie prop
As an Orc horde invades the planet Azeroth using a magic portal, a few human heroes and dissenting Orcs must attempt to stop the true evil behind this war. From the 2016 video game adaption Warcraft, this is a display of pieces used in the film including a Frostwolf Orc Axe, Garona’s dagger and tusk necklace. Frostwolf Orcs were a clan of Orcs led by Durotan that used their axes while in battle throughout the film while Garona Halforcen (Paula Patton) is a strong-willed half-orc caught between the war of orcs and humans. Garona was born to an orcish woman who had mated with a young Medivh for which the mother was burned alive. The child would have been killed; had not Gul'dan intervened taking the child as a slave. A half-breed, small and weak in comparison to the other orcs, the warlock would give her the name "Garona", meaning "Cursed". Gul'dan did however also give Garona one of her mother's tusks to remember her by. Later in the film Garona gives Lothar her necklace in his prison cell, before going off to fight with the Alliance. Garona used her knife to defend herself against Orcs, and later to kill King Llane in the hopes of bringing peace to Azeroth.
