After the original storyboard was approved, copies were made and distributed to the various department heads during pre-production. This storyboard shows Luke Skywalker dangling from a weather vane, after his defeat.
The storyboard is dated 10-25-79 and includes a brief description of the action beneath the drawing. Additional information fields are noted on this storyboard, such as the scene and shot number, animation, elements required, frame count, and page number. This storyboard is signed by special visual effects supervisor Richard Edlund."
