The Conjuring, Filming Tree Fragment
original production material
The famous tree from The Conjuring wasn\'t a real tree but was actually production made where they used Mortar Mix (a mix of sand and cement) around a huge steel construction. The construction was taken down after filming and the crew left some of the construction pieces behind on the landowners property (see third picture). Some fragments were still laying around and were collected and purchased from the caretaker of the house. (fourth picture). This is one of these fragments measuring 28 by 13 cm. at its widest points. The filming house is located in Currie, North Carolina. They actually only filmed the outside of the house. The inside scenes were shot in a studio. Last photo shows the house like it looks today. It was also used (inside and outside filming) for the movie I know What You Did Last Summer!
