Galaxy Quest, Fan Interstellar Vox

original movie prop

Hero fan Vox communicator used by Tim Allen as Jason Nesmith in the Tech Value store scene. Jason had bumped into Galaxy Quest uber-fan Brandon just moments earlier, accidentally switching his real Thermian Interstellar Vox for Brandon's fan vox. Nesmith realizes his mistake when he tries to contact the Thermians again, before his disbelieving GQ castmates.

Unlike the Thermian Vox, which has a plasma disc display, the Fan Vox features a Galaxy Quest logo medallion and two flashing red LEDs. This prop was nonfunctional but in otherwise excellent condition when received from DreamWorks. It has been professionally restored to it's original look and function, with the only replaced components being the battery clip, wires, and one screw. The antenna is held securely and yet lightly in place by a precise catch, and the original spring briskly pops it open with a touch, activating the LEDs.

From a private collector, with restoration by D Stines.
