A Rare set of three papers from Linwood Dunn's estate concerning his special effects work on original Exorcist film
These were his personal copies (the originals were sent to Warner Brothers) that he kept for his personal archive.
Linwood Dunn ran Film Effects of Hollywood and was in charge of all the Optical work on The Exorcist.
First paper - on his company's stationary to Warner Brothers in NY dated Sept of 1973 with Great content concerning the optical problems on the film and references
discussions with Billy Friedkin (the director). Talks about experiments with color especially during the levitation scene.
Flashes over the derelict are very effective. Also mentions delivering a composite of Linda Blair vomiting on the priest.
