This harness creature squirming within a rib cage epitomizes the invasive Espheni process to transform life-forms into Skitters. Todd Masters and his Masters FX team have created an entire Espheni world, with intricately designed creatures and parts that bring Skitters to life. The tremendously empathetic aliens created by the Masters FX team for “Falling Skies” can appear vulnerable, with animatronic-generated facial expressions and balletic movement by Skitter performers and puppeteers.
