An original screenplay by Frank De Felitta, adapted from his 1978
novel. Noted as "Revised Draft" on the title page and dated January 15,
1981.
Pages [numbered [1]-146] are white, with many revision pages on blue,
pink and yellow paper showing various dates between 3/03/81 and 3/25/81. All
pages measure 8.5" x 11" in size and are three-hole punched and bound with
metal pins in black, heavy stock paper covers with title in gold on the
front. Title page and preliminary page (purporting that the film is based
upon a true story), and print shop page included.
The script belonged to actress Natasha Ryan, who at age 11 played Julie,
the daughter of the film's main character [Carla, Moran], played by
Barbara Hershey. Her lines are underlined with red pen throughout the
script.
Released by Twentieth Century-Fox in 1982, "The Entity" was directed
by Sidney J. Furie and produced by Harold Schneider. It starred Barbara
Hershey, Ron Silver, David Labiosa, George Coe, Margaret Blye, Jacqueline
Brookes and Natasha Ryan.
