Biometrically-encoded ticket to an Ark, available only to a few hundred thousand wealthy and important people, chosen in secret to survive the Earth Crust Displacement apocalypse. Somehow, quite a few Hollywood movie production crewmembers (in this case, a costume designer named Eduardo Castro) managed to get on the list.
