Manufactured by the Baktoid Armor Workshop for use by the B1 battle droids of the Trade Federation, the E-5 was considered light and powerful, but not especially accurate. Also, the omission of many safety features made the weapon unsuitable for organic soldiers.

Extensive accurization of the Kenner toy. Fittingly, the actual practical props made for TPM were themselves based on a conversion of an older Kenner/Hasbro E-11 blaster toy.
