Drive, Driver's (Ryan Gosling) Screen Worn Hero Mechanic's Costume

This costume was worn by the character “Driver” portrayed by actor Ryan Gosling in the 2011 motion picture “Drive”. The outfit consists of a short sleeve white Henley shirt, blue and white herringbone work shirt with “Shannon’s Picture Car Warehouse” patch on the right breast, pair of dark gray Dockers pants, and a red oil rag. The original costumer’s tag is attached listing assorted production information. This costume was Driver’s “Hero” mechanic outfit, and the only one worn during scenes when working at “Shannon’s Picture Car Warehouse”. Driver wore the complete costume during the sequence when “Irene” (Carey Mulligan) and her son drop their car off for repairs. Driver wore the Henley shirt and pants in the subsequent sequence when he spends time with them at the L.A. river prior to taking them back to Irene’s apartment. The garments are in screen used distressed condition and can be screen-matched perfectly to several scenes. The distressed Henley shirt is also seen in one of the promotional posters for the film.  The costume was acquired directly from the production company and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from The Golden Closet.
