Gunsmoke TV 1955-1975, Doc Adams medicine & Festus Mug
original movie prop
A prop bottle of Laudanum (a 19th Century mixture of alcohol and opium) often prescribed by Doc Adams on the long running Western. It was sourced from Paramount, where GUNSMOKE was filmed for it's first 7 years, and shares an identical label with the bottle of Laudanum John Wayne uses in THE SHOOTIST - also a Paramount production. In the still shown, a similar bottle with yellow label, can be seen in the top shelf of the cabinet over Festus's shoulder.
Together, with a cast/crew gift mug showing Ken Curtis, as Festus, gifted in 1974, by him.
