The Big Bang Theory, Disruptor

This prop disruptor was used in The Big Bang Theory episode 'The Bakersfield Expedition' (Season 6, Episode 13).

This item began life as a stylized reproduction of a Varon-T disruptor from Star Trek: The Next Generation.  When TBBT needed a 'disruptor' from Star Trek this was one of the items proposed and Executive Producer and Co-Creator, Bill Prady, chose this item for use by the Howard Wolowitz character as part of his unusual Borg costume (see photo).
