This is one of the Daily Sentinel "awards" that appear as set decoration in the office of Britt Reid's father. This is actually a very nice, very high-quality prop. It appears first in the opening scene with young Britt and his father. In a later scene, these two awards--this one with the more visible, red cherrywood base; the other with a brass base--appear behind the adult Britt Reid during his office conversation with D.A. Scanlon.
As a contributor to the legacy of The Green Hornet through my Kato origin-story novellas, "Nothing Gold Can Stay" and "The World Will End in Fire" (Moonstone Books, 2010 & 2012, respectively), it's a lot of fun to have this award prop in my office!
