Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Cortical Stimulator

Although generically referred to as a cortical stimulator, this 24th century medical instrument is actually much more versatile than the name implies, also capable of monitoring, suppressing, altering, and in some cases repairing higher brain functions.  This style is seen on the foreheads of many different DS9 characters in episodes throughout the series' run, including Invasive Procedures, The Muse, Bar Association, Empok Nor, Rapture, and others. Similar devices were used in TNG.

Painted resin modules with acrylic details, connected by a flexible fabric and metal flat cable. This particular piece is static with no blinkies.
