Coraline, Coraline: Beldam, Final Transformation Puppet Face
original movie prop
A Beldam (Teri Hatcher) final transformation puppet face made for the production of Henry Selick’s 2009 stop-motion film Coraline. A young girl finds a secret world that appears to be an idealized version of her own world. This perfect world begins to unravel as Coraline discovers its dark secrets. Coraline's 'Other Mother' is revealed to be the menacing Beldam at the end of the film.
Produced by the innovative stop-motion production company Laika Studios using 3D printing, this puppet head is made from resin and is painted in detail. This face has magnets on its backside -- a feature that allowed expressions to be easily changed on a puppet head during the process of stop-motion capture. Showing some signs of wear this piece is in overall great condition.
