Highlander, Conner MacLeod’s Final scene katana
original movie prop weapon
Christopher Lambert hero Katana sword from Highlander. (TCF, 1986) This katana is the key element in the plot of the film, symbolic of Connor MacLeod’s “coming of age” as an Immortal. The hilt lacks the Dragon finial, which was broken during the shooting of the “Quickening” sequence after the final battle with “Kurgan”. Close inspection of the film shows that the headless sword was actually held by Lambert during that very sequence, as many different takes were shot of that particular scene. The heavy blow to the floor during that sequence has caused some slight damage to the two protruding screws on the hilt. Constructed of stainless steel and measuring 36 in. long, this is easily the most desirable prop from the entire film. Numerous nicks to the blade from production use during this battle scene.
