Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Communicator

This is a static replica of the communicator seen in Star Trek: V. Although not clearly seen in the movie, this replica was based on many pictures of the screen used pieces from various sources. At Shatner's request, the view screen-like area had a bright light installed so it would light up the grill and the actor's face. This also required an external battery pack that was wired through the actor's sleeve.

This pressure-cast resin replica features a one part brass antenna with accurate hex screws, correct buttons with screen accurate graphics and a clear resin moire screen. It has been painted metallic black and dusted with dark gray metallic. It is hollow for future electronics install.
