This is a reproduction of the standard Starfleet commbadge seen throughout the series. I have begun scratch-building a back portion to this piece showing the interior electronics detail as seen in the TNG Technical Journal. The circle in the center of the \"hardware\" of the circuits is a small, yet strong, magnet meant to hold the front portion in place while wearing it.
