Investigating the murder of a man from Beka's past leads the Andromeda crew to a secret data vault on a supposedly long-destroyed world in fourth season episode Time Out of Mind. Introduced to these devices by the Collector in charge of the archive, each tri-key allows the user to directly experience the historical record or fictional story it references, as one of the participants or as an observer.
