This radio transmitter was cleverly disguised as a pack of cigarettes and hidden in a cigarette case, allowing U.N.C.L.E. agents to contact each other and headquarters from the field. It proved to be very popular with fans and was even made into a children's toy. The device was replaced in the show's second season, first by a different cigarette case, and then by the well-known Pen Communicator; the pen was less bulky and quicker for the characters to deploy.
