Gremlins 2: The New Batch Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck Layout Drawing Sequence of 9 (Warner Brothers, 1990). \"Fifty years of you hoggin\' the spotlight is enough!\" The Joe Dante-directed Gremlins 2: The New Batch opens with an animated theatrical short that quickly falls apart when Daffy Duck attempts to take over. When things immediately go awry just a minute into the film, Daffy concedes, \"well, if I\'m not going to star in this cartoon, we might as well just start the movie.\" This is an unbelievably rare sequence of nine original layout drawings by the great Chuck Jones, created for Gremlins 2. Director Joe Dante, a big fan of Chuck Jones, would go on to direct the live action/animated feature film Looney Tunes: Back in Action. These fantastic drawings are rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field sheets of animation paper. The drawings show minor handling and edge wear, and they are numbered 1 through 9 in the lower right corners. The condition is Very Good.
