Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Cardassian Optolythic Data Rods

replica movie prop

Although similar in size and shape to isolinear rods, optolythic data rods are considered a more secure form of data storage, being very hard to obtain unformatted and difficult to encode with false holographic data. Seen in use by Sisko and Garak in memorable sixth season episode In The Pale Moonlight, which many consider to be the darkest single episode in all of Star Trek history.

Acrylic with metal tape details.
